The old 18th century French masters, Elizabeth Louise Vigee-Lebrun and Hyacinthe Rigaud both come to mind. They painted in a different style for sure, and they both were consummate portrait painters. I am reminded of them because I can see how dedicated you are. Today it is like discovering a secret valley full of exotic rare and delicate flowers! Thank you!
this is stunning. i love how you've arranged the composition almost yin yang-like. the upper half in a monotone color palette and the bottom half in a very rich colorful color palette. the detailing is immaculate. the face is flawless. it's gorgeous man.
Wow if I wasn't able to zoom in I would have sworn up and down that this was a photo! I still had a very very hard time telling. I think the hands and the fan gave it away for me, but seriously it still took me a long while. This is amazing work!
